Greetings! 

I’d like to share my perspective of what our school embodies. It is a school that is committed to bringing up fine students – in character, ability, motive and actions. Each member of the faculty sees the potential in each and every student, thus providing various opportunities to transform that potential into possibility and from there into reality. I see teachers who are completely immersed in their goal – to guide children in their learning journey, where each subject intertwines with the others to create knowledge that is holistic, practical and relevant to students. 

The Somaiya School combines the history, capacity and influence of a vast monument with the speed, accuracy and flexibility of the digital age. We offer to our students an education that is rooted in values, time-tested traditions and the educational heritage of India. We also equip each student with wings to blaze their own path, to prepare for a future that is rapidly changing. Skill development, higher order thinking skills and the art of questioning, are all woven into classroom teaching through hands-on activities, relevant field trips, group assignments and class presentations. 

Children train in a variety of sports under experienced coaches in state-of-the-art sporting facilities. We have squash, taekwondo, judo, gymnastics, malkhamb, ariel silk, athletics, badminton, skating, swimming, in addition to basketball, football and cricket. Being a part of a lush, green campus in the heart of the bustling city of Mumbai also allows students the opportunity to be a part of nature. 

The school collaborates with institutions, both inside the campus and outside, to give students from Pre-Primary to Grade XII immersive experiences such as laboratory observations in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, internships, workshops in robotics and coding, innovative project exhibitions etc. Children are also mentored for various projects by experts in the field. Field trips are transformed into experiential learning when combined with specially curated on-site expert lectures and hands-on activities. 

The school is thus committed to providing for its students an education designed to help students forge their own path equipped with knowledge, skills and values. Our purpose is to create in every student the drive to achieve their own dreams.
